Hacktivate the City

Make a splash in fashion!

Are you between 14 and 18 and are you interested in fashion or new technologies? Do you think the future needs radical and innovative ideas? Then join the Wearable Technology Lab and get to design your own smart clothing with real fashion designers, technicians and the artists Claire Williams and Giulia Tomasello. You also have the opportunity to play with digital machines and techniques like sewable LEDs, 3D printers or Arduino at the Fab & Media lab at Erasmushogeschool. Learn all about the creative use of technologies in clothing design in this Wearable Technology Lab. Seek out materials to help make the fashion industry more sustainable and innovative. In the labs previously organized by Gluon, young people have developed, for example, a clothing that interprets heartbeats and detects emotions, or a device that converts our movements into music.

Are you unfamiliar with fashion and technology? Not to worry, we will supply all the tools and show you how to use them. All you need is your enthusiasm! The results of the labs will be presented in an exhibition at BOZAR in November 2019.
