‘Voix des Anges’

In a conventional musical performance, you expect to see a stage or platform that demarcates a physical and mental space. What happens onstage is part of the performance; the rest is not. In the world of music, we just about always operate within this traditional, well-defined framework – both in practice and inside our own heads. New technology, however, makes it possible to blur and even remove the boundaries between the real and virtual worlds. And that is what the Voix des Anges project is about. Using online tools specially developed for this event, as well as portable electronic equipment, the performers create an interaction with anonymous participants not present at the physical location of the concert.
