With Luc Schuiten
Luc Schuiten is a utopian architect and Belgian visionary. He has envisioned new living spaces, designed by observing vast ecosystems like coral reefs and primeval forests. Using a range of futurist possibilities, he has predicted the evolution of cities such as Lyon, Strasbourg, Brussels and Shanghai, and designed a world in motion, cohesive and poetic, that incorporates primarily ‘archiborescent’ housing and the public and private transport solutions of the future. He has chosen to express his creative concepts of a new relationship between humanity and our environment through images, with pictorial representations allowing them to be made physical and to be shared.
His talks bring to life his drawings and futurist visions, which draw on his close collaboration with biologists from the Biomimicry Europa association.
