Film classics with live music

To open the UFA Film Nights, BOZAR is inviting you to (re)discover Fritz Lang’s masterpiece Der Müde Tod (Destiny), a fable which tells the tale of a young woman who, in order to rescue her sweetheart from the claws of death, has to save the lives of three other people. She has three chances to succeed through three stories in which she can attempt to save the future victim, in Baghdad, in Venice and at the Court of the Emperor of China. Will she succeed? To illustrate this supernatural tale, the German composer Cornelius Schwehr has written an original score which will be interpreted by the Brussels Philharmonic, grand specialist in the live musical accompaniment of feature-length films and recordings of film music.
