Troc échange is a facebook group used for the private sale or exchange of items. However, the level of social interactivity of this group- with one hundred and twenty thousand members and as many diverse and varied profiles- hugely exceeds the original intention of the group. In the Facebook discussions people often talk about fashion, relationship issues, social and political affairs, discrimination in employment or cooking. The young people of Ras El Hanout themselves submit and edit subjects during theatre workshops. They dig deep into questions about influences, reality, objectivity and derailment on social media. These workshops are filmed and placed on the facebook group. As a result the virtual community expands into a platform that is far beyond Molenbeek's boundaries.
