Since the age of 8, Thomas has been convinced that he and his neighbour Alfred were switched at birth. Sixty years later, Thomas meets Alfred and wants to reclaim the life that Alfred has stolen from him. 

Jaco Van Dormael
Jaco Van Dormael is a Belgian director, screenwriter and playwright. After studying film at INSAS and Louis-lumière (Paris), he launched his filmmaking career in the early 1980s with a series of shorts. In 1991, he directed his first feature-length film Toto the Hero (1991) winner of the Camera d’Or at the 1991 Cannes Film Festival. He returned to Cannes in 1995 where he directed Daniel Auteuil and Pascal Duquenne in Le huitième jour, who both won the Best Actor Award. In 2009, Mr Nobody, with Jared Leto, Sarah Polley and Diane Kruger, was selected at the Venice Film Festival. The Brand New Testament is his fourth feature film.
