Discover the next generation of jazz musicians! The Toots Thielemans Jazz Award is an initiative of the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, in partnership with Bozar, and is awarded to the most deserving students from the jazz department. The conservatory gives the winners a prize of 5,000 euros and offers them the opportunity to perform live in a professional setting with a special guest. The prize, to which Toots Thielemans personally chose to link his name, aims to encourage talented young jazz musicians and support them in the development of their careers. The winners of this 14th edition of the Toots Thielemans Jazz Award are guitarist Yuxian Zhang and drummer Gaspard Sicx. They have invited the fantastic Dutch pianist Harmen Fraanje and double bassist Jim Monneau.
