The Syrian Refugee Story/Empathy
BOZAR invites you at the “The Story of Syrian Refugees and Empathy (©Kaan Çuhacı): Through a Child’s Eyes” exhibition, hosted at the Henry Le Boeuf Hall of the Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels with the support of Turkcell.
The “Project Lift - Hold My Hand” project, launched by the Maya Foundation in 2014 to help traumatized Syrian children, has gained further strength upon participation of Turkcell, helping us communicate to Brussels, the heart of Europe, the sufferings of Syrian refugee children, as well as our solutions for them.
“Two years ago, at a time when most people had a blurry idea of what it would mean to be a refugee, we decided to launch the project in a bid to help children have a much better future. Through our program, developed jointly with a team of specialists providing therapy for traumatic disorders, we are working to help refugee children have confidence in themselves and in their future and also start a new life and have dreams again. So, we are trying to expand the project to cover all traumatized children, but particularly refugee children.”
