‘THEATRUM AFFECTUUM | MOST RAVISHING THINGS’

26 Mar.'17
- 11:00

Theatrum Affectuum was founded in 2003 by German recorder player Andreas Böhlen. It specialises in music from 17th and 18th century Italy and Germany and plays the baroque repertoire in a fresh and energetic way, as if the music were written yesterday. In 2015 Aeolus released their most recent CD, Nicola Matteis: Most Ravishing Things, in which the Neapolitan composer and virtuoso improviser takes a central role. It is no coincidence that he inspired Theatrum Affectuum: as well as specialising in old music Andreas Böhlen is also a gifted improviser and saxophone player.
