Rising Star Müpa Budapest

Müpa Budapest is one of Hungary’s most modern cultural institutions and as such is comparable with BOZAR. It selected the young trumpet player Tamás Pálfalvi as its Rising Star 2017-2018 of the European Concert Hall Organisation. During a tour of the large concert halls of Europe, he joins forces with the German organist Christian Schmitt to explore a broad repertoire, from Baroque to contemporary, and demonstrates how well the trumpet and organ go together. With a breath-taking, at times acrobatic virtuosity, Pálfalvi attains a new standard with his trumpet playing. Want to know what it sounds like in the Henry Le Bœuf Hall, with its brand new organ?
