Avant-garde and unbridled creativity are a common theme that runs throughout the new season at BOZAR. Igor Stravinsky was one of the greatest composers of the avant-garde. The Russian composer continues to inspire, across the borders of the different musical genres. Peter Vermeersch and Eric Hofbauer have made jazz arrangements of his work and from other contempories which they perform with the Flat Earth Society and the Eric Hofbauer Quintet in a mini-festival entitled ‘Stravinsky Deconstructed’. Jazz meets avant-garde – you can’t get much more innovative than that!
