Ghalia Benali

The New York Times described her as the "creator of her own myths" and named her one of the ten best stage performances of 2013. A decade later, Belgian-Tunisian singer, songwriter, composer, dancer, visual artist, painter and actress Ghalia Benali takes to the Bozar stage. Come and discover the magic of the woman nicknamed "Carthage's Aretha Franklin", whose artistic repertoire includes a dozen albums, various collaborations, five films, an Egyptian TV series, a book and paintings.

Souad Massi

"With her pure, authentic voice, Souad Massi speaks to the soul. Rarely has she been so poetic" - The Times. Souad Massi, an internationally acclaimed Franco-Algerian artist, considered to be the finest female voice in North Africa and once compared to Joan Baez and Tracy Chapman, is now a key figure on the folk/rock scene. She arrived in France more than twenty years ago, and her unwavering determination to uphold the values of freedom and justice has won her a string of successes and awards, and the international critics continue to be unanimous. At Bozar, Souad Massi will be presenting her latest album Sequana, which has received four international nominations, including two awards, and on which she sings of her convictions and struggles as never before.
