‘Sollazzo Ensemble - Firenze 1350’

The Sollazzo ensemble transports you to 14th century Florence. During this period of cultural awakening, the Tuscan city experienced an unprecedented blossoming: architecture and the arts were at the forefront of an aesthetic upheaval, and poets such as Dante, Petrarch and Boccaccio established the Tuscan dialect as the main language of literature. In music, virtuoso Francesco degli Organi, known as “Landini”, a blind multi-instrumentalist composer, stamped his mark on the period with his musical talents and philosophical ideas. Experience the heyday of nascent humanism in music through the refined works of Landini and his contemporaries.
