‘Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop’

- 20:00

This concert is cancelled

Anyone who has ever seen the Soloists’ ensemble Kaleidoskop perform will know that their idiosyncratic mix of styles, sounds and musical language guarantees an unforgettable evening. At BOZAR they will be treating you to an adventurous Passenger by Jennifer Walshe, the ‘Tempora mutantur’ Symphony by Joseph Haydn and Aroura by Iannis Xenakis. This latter composition for 12 players consists of a 12-minute movement full of glissandos, terse chords and avant-garde note clusters. Also on the programme is the work by Claude Viviers entitled Zipangu, the old name for Japan. In his short life this ambitious Canadian composer developed a highly personal musical style with, at the forefront, strong melodies and songs in a language of his own invention. The still unexplained death of the composer put an end to his greatest plans.
