‘Slow Art Day 2016’

9 Apr.'16
- 11:00

It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see. - Henry David Thoreau

Seventeen seconds. That's how long it takes the average visitor to view a piece of art. Slow Art Day challenges this sort of fleeting appreciation and invites you to spend a whole ten minutes in admiration. With just a sketch pad and map of the gallery you track down six works of art in the Daniel Buren: A Fresco exhibition. You observe, sketch, think and daydream; then you visit the Discussion Room where you share your experience. Slow Art Day teaches you to look at art in a completely different way. It might even change your view of the world. Experience it for yourself on Saturday 9 April, between 11 am and 12.30 pm, at the Centre for Fine Arts.
