‘Silk Saw’

After nine years of silence, the Brussels-based duo recently released its 11th album. Between 1994 and 2000, Gabriel Severin (Babils, Rob(u)rang) and Marc Medea produced four full-length albums for Sub Rosa. The first was under the name Jardin d'Usure, followed by two under the name Silk Saw. They blend numerous influences into their sound, from industrial techno to electro-acoustic composition, modern composition and contemporary music. The duo is definitely one of Belgium's best-kept secrets, and it’s impossible to deny the pioneering role they have played for today's young experimental electronic scene.
