‘Schntzl & Carl Stone’

The Belgian duo Schntzl, made up of keyboard man Hendrik Lasure and his drumming bandmate Casper Van de Velde, introduces cinematographic chamber music to a world fixated on improvisation. With keyboards, percussion and sampling, they provoke as much as they offer solace. For this concert, Schntzl have invited Carl Stone to join them, a living legend who has been experimenting with electronic music and turntables since the 80s. As a composer, Stone has worked with Bill T. Jones and Takashi Harada, mainly in Japan. In this intergenerational collaboration, Schntzl and Stone share an ear for sonic details and a sense of adventure.
