‘Sara Correia’

From her youngest age, Sara Correia has sung in Lisbon’s shrines of Fado – not surprising, when you know that she grew up in a family of fadistas. Winner at the tender age of 13 of the famous Grande Noite do Fado festival, this gifted artist has already sung with singers such as Celeste Rodrigues, Jorge Fernando and Maria da Nazaré, among the greatest performers of the genre. Influenced by legends of Fado such as Amália Rodrigues, Fernanda Maria, Beatriz da Conceição or Hermínia Silva, she comes to BOZAR after the release of her first album, accompanied by exceptional musicians: guitarists Diogo Clemente and Ângelo Freire, as well as bass player Marino de Freitas.
