Salomé Gasselin is an artist on the rise. Winner of the "Instrumental Soloist Revelation" award at the 2024 Victoires de la Musique Classique awards, the young Frenchwoman is putting the viola da gamba in the spotlight. Her debut album, Récit (2020, Mirare), won a Diapason découverte. At her recital at Bozar, the gambist invites you on a journey to meet the angels. In the world of wine, these immaterial beings are given a share to drink - the "angels' share": the part of the alcohol that evaporates, lost as the wine ages in the barrel. In the same way, musicians who play early music are confronted with this part of the unknown, this void hollowed out by time.
