‘Rumbamazigha’

Take the most beautiful Berber melodies, add the furious rhythms of Catalan rumba and you obtain the unique cocktail of Rumbamazigha. This project, which first came about in 2010 in the district of El Raval in Barcelona, brings together some experienced musicians from Northern Africa and a handful of artists who want to breathe new life into the repertoire of flamenco rumba, a typically Catalan style of music, with mambo and Cuban accents. The colourful result is delightfully danceable.
