How better to capture the theme ‘Move Your Body, Find Your Voice’ of Singing Brussels 2021 than through rumba? Rumba is both a dance and an important musical genre in Congolese culture, which perfectly combines the use of the body with music and voice.
This workshop-lecture at See U is an opportunity to discover Rumba with Rumba specialist Klay Mawungu and a band (guitars, bass, drums and vocals). During the participatory workshop, you will learn well-known songs but also delve into the history of Rumba, while the band Super Rumba will perform the most popular Congolese Rumba songs.
