Yuja Wang is an inspired and nimble pianist and an exceptionally talented performer. At Bozar, she takes on the solo part in Rhapsody on a theme by Paganini, in which the composer varies richly in twenty-four movements from the legendary violin virtuoso's famous last caprice. The Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest completes with Sibelius' poetic Second Symphony. In this masterpiece, he translates the love for his homeland Finland into overwhelming music.
