‘Queen Elisabeth violin competition’

20 May'19
- 20:00

Final

The Queen Elisabeth Competition for Violin will take place at the Centre for Fine Arts from 20 to 25 May 2019. The journey to being called on stage and named the winner is quite long. It commences with a preselection stage behind closed doors based on a screening of the candidates’ video presentations. After the first round and semi-final, the twelve finalists move into the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, where they spend an entire week preparing for the final. They also take advantage of this opportunity to study the compulsory work which is written especially for the competition. And then… comes the thrilling final!
