‘Quatuor Zaïde’

Rising Star Philharmonie de Paris

Warning Concert at 7pm

Over the last five years, the four lively Parisiennes of the Quatuor Zaïde have won prestigious competitions all over the world. With passion and enthusiasm, they play a great variety of works, for the most part from the 20th century. Here, they perform string quartets by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Dmitry Shostakovich, and Béla Bartók – three subtle works, each with a distinctive character. While the Shostakovich is often ironic and exuberant, in the Mozart it is the harmonic sophistication that is most striking. Bartók's quartet, for its part, is characterised by a search for balance and symmetry.
