‘Quatuor Diotima & Mark Simpson’

21 Jan.'22
- 20:00

Quatuor Diotima is a much-loved string quartet, especially when it comes to the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. They will probably be able to indulge in Janáček's First String Quartet, in which the Czech composer takes Tolstoy's Kreutzer Sonata as the point of departure. Alchemia, the latest clarinet quintet from composer in residence Thomas Adès, will also be heard in Belgium for the first time. Finally, they will demonstrate that, with Brahms' 19th century masterpiece, they have also perfectly mastered a repertoire work.
