‘PREMIERE Sanctuaire - Olivier Masset-Depasse’

Between 1983 and 1986, French Basque Country and Bayonne were the setting of a series of GAL* assaults on confirmed or alleged members of ETA. These settlings of scores organized by the Spanish police and French accomplices were meant to dismantle ETA’s “sanctuary” in France. Against this background, two opponents will get acquainted and learn to respect one another: the chief of ETA’s military section Domingo Iturbe Abasoli (aka Txomin) and a young counsellor at the Elysée.
