Dries is an intimate and fascinating portrait of the Flemish fashion designer Dries Van Noten whose style is characterised by warm colours, exquisite prints and rich embroidery. As one of the last independent fashion designers he occupies a unique position on the fashion scene. He has been at the top for 25 years and many of his collections are iconic. Van Noten is known for his restraint and discretion, you won’t often see him at fashion parties and he rarely gives interviews. For the first time ever he has allowed a camera into his professional and personal life; director Reiner Holzemer followed Dries Van Noten over one year and the creation of four collections.
