A film by Antoine Viviani
This film is postponed to Sunday, March 27th at 14:00 pm at Cinema Galeries.
In Limbo is an inner journey into the Internet, as if there were nothing else left except a giant global network dreaming of itself. This philosophical story is narrated by Nancy Huston, who woke up in the limbo of a self-reflexive global memory, only to discover the mysterious life therein, together with its people, its customs and its pioneers (the general directors of Google, or the founding fathers of the Internet). Are we in the process of erecting a new cathedral, creating a new civilisation, or digging the largest cemetery in our history?
Don’t miss the discussion which will follow the film screening. It will deal with the impact of new technologies, and more particularly of digital memory, on our human condition. Antoine Viviani, who produced and directed the film, and Milad Doueihi, a religious historian and digital humanism specialist (Paris IV), will exchange about their respective analyses during this event.
