‘Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’

1 June'16
- 20:00

The second great US orchestra of our season, the celebrated Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, is a veritable institution, whose conductors down the years have included legendary figures such as Otto Klemperer, André Previn, and Lorin Maazel. Conducted on this occasion by Manfred Honeck, the orchestra is joined by the young Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov, one of the most talented of his generation. His interpretation of Rakhmaninov's ultra-Romantic Second Concerto is eagerly awaited.
