Jeff Mills is one of the world’s most talented DJs and producers, a top talent from the illustrious Detroit techno scene. You can recognise him from his stark, almost industrial sound. His artistic universe is not just restricted to clubs. In recent years he has regularly worked with visual artists, choreographers and even classical orchestras. A fascination with science fiction and futuristic thoughts is at the origin of his work. The same fascination pushes him towards utopic film classics from the early 20th century. In 2000 he gave Fritz Lang’s Metropolis a musical makeover.
