‘Paris-Buenos Aires, une histoire d'amour’

14 Dec.'15
- 20:00

The pianist Maria Martinova, founder and leader of TANGUARDA, returns to Bozar after the ensemble’s highly acclaimed concert here. She will be in the company of the French violinist Cyril Garac for the Belgian launch of their highly-anticipated album « Paris-Buenos Aires, une histoire d’amour ». Formed in the greatest classical tradition, these two musicians have also established themselves as two of the most emblematic figures on the contemporary tango scene. In this new program they elegantly combine French impressionist and Argentinean tango music. Giving voice to poets of the two universes, the actor Emmanuel De Candido will join the duo on a mysterious and exciting journey through the aesthetic complicity between two cities - Paris and Buenos Aires - where music and poetry blend to reveal the pulse of life in all its aspects. An event not to be missed!

Program: Debussy, Piazzolla, Troilo, Salgán, Verlaine, Baudelaire, Borges, Apollinaire...

The concert will be followed by a meeting with the artists and a signing of CDs.
