One World in Brussels Opening Ceremony
Made by multiple directors from the Ukrainian collective Kinodopomoha, this film documents Russia's invasion of Ukraine by looking at different parts of the country suffering under a senseless war. Using the stories of ordinary people, the film highlights the current everyday problems of many Ukrainians, offering a visual testimony to the horrors of this ongoing tragedy, the determination of the Ukrainian nation, the rise of its forces, and the mutual support of its people.
Kinodopomoha is a collective of Ukrainian filmmakers gathering directors, editors, post-production specialists and producers staying in Kiev. They are travelling through Ukraine to show war, destruction and the everyday struggles of the Ukrainian people but also to find glimmers of hope.
