‘Our Hospitality (Buster Keaton, 1923, USA, 74') - SOLD OUT!’

Trio Grande + Guests

Buster Keaton as Willie McKay unwittingly becomes embroiled in a longstanding feud when he returns to his birthplace and falls for Virginia (played by Keaton’s future wife Natalie Talmidge), daughter of the hostile Canfield clan. Her family will stop at nothing to kill Willie, while at the same time respecting the sacrosanct laws of Southern hospitality. Our Hospitality (1923) is a hilarious game of cat and mouse culminating in a breathtaking stunt on the edge of a waterfall.

The exuberant, slightly anarchic music of the trio Laurent Dehors, Michel Massot and Michel Debrulleis the perfect accompaniment to Keaton’s first feature film. The “three musketeers” of the Tio Grande have been playing together for 25 years and for this live soundtrack are joined by guitarist Nicolas Dechêne and the exciting trumpeter Jean-Paul Estiévenart.
