Free Concert featuring the lead singer of Blur and the Orchestra of Syrian Musicians

This Saturday BOZAR welcomes you to a free concert featuring the Orchestra of Syrian Musicians with Damon Albarn, from the band Blur, who will join in via live streaming from the famous Southbank Centre in London. Accompanied on stage by big artists such as Paul Weller, Lofti Bouchnak, Faia Younan and Julia Holter, the musicians will pay homage to Syrian music as a sign of hope, in response to the traumatic events in Syria. The oudist and composer Issam Rafea will conduct the ensemble. He has already collaborated with Damon Albarn in 2008 and again in 2010 as part of the Gorillaz world tour in Syria, Lebanon, Europe and North America.

On June 25th be part of this live streaming event at BOZAR, featuring the Orchestra of Syrian Musicians and Damon Albarn, and show solidarity with these musicians in exile. No one can turn a blind eye to the plight of the Syrian people, especially not the world of culture.
