Cancellation
It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of the concert of Orchestra e Coro del Teatro alla Scala & Riccardo Chailly, scheduled for tonight September 9 at the Centre for Fine Arts. Due to the severe earthquake in Morocco, the travel route has been disrupted, meaning the orchestra cannot reach Brussels on time. Tickets purchased for this concert will be refunded. Thank you for your understanding. In these dramatic circumstances, our thoughts are with the victims of the earthquake and their families.
Spine-tingling moments abound in Verdi's compositions, not only in the well-known Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves Va, pensiero in Nabucco. To mark the 70th birthday of artistic director, Riccardo Chailly, in early 2023, La Scala's orchestra and choir released an album of Verdi's well-known and lesser-known opera choruses and overtures. The musicians of Milan's La Scala now treat you to some highlights from this album. Be prepared for a wide range of emotions, from deep solemnity to immense joy and from the religious to the worldly.
