For its first evening, Nuits sonores & European Lab Brussels is bringing you a double bill featuring two artists with a very personal sound. Italy's Caterina Barbieri creates music of ecstatic intensity and emotional power on her modular synth. For her very first concert in Brussels, she presents her new album, Myuthafoo, her third for her own label light-years: an intimate journey into her inner world. Next up is David August and his sharp musicality. The Italian-German producer and composer gravitates towards the worlds of classical and electronic music. His Berlin Boiler Room, released nine years ago - a spellbinding DJ set with an extreme sensitivity to sound - now has 12 million views. From 2018, his two albums DCXXXIX A.C. (99CHANTS) and D'Angelo ([PIAS]) - a musical tribute to the famous Baroque painter Caravaggio.
