‘Ólafur Arnalds - All Strings Attached (SOLD OUT!)’

13 May'18
- 20:00

BOTA @ BOZAR

The extraordinary musician, wildly creative avant-garde producer and composer and BAFTA Award-winning artist Ólafur Arnalds will be performing for the very first time in the Centre for Fine Arts’ Henry Le Bœuf Hall here in Brussels on 13 May next year, as part of the Nuits Botanique.
Since his first creation released in 2007,  this fanatical Stakhanovite has composed more than a dozen solo or collaborative albums, combining contemplative chamber music and minimal techno music. In September 2016, he gave us “Island Songs”, a magnificent musical epic recorded in seven emblematic places on his native Iceland. Ólafur makes solar compositions of a surprising poetry, somewhere between Chopin and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
This year the artist is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the release of his first album Eulogy for Evolution, with a special remastered version.  He is embarking upon a new chapter of his work with the All Strings Attached tour. Ólafur will be accompanied by a unique ensemble made up of a string quartet, percussions, pianos and synthesisers. The project brings a fresh perspective to his magnificent repertoire and finds innovative ways to spotlight his new work. Like his compatriots Sigur Ros and Bjork, Ólafur Arnalds offers us a unique musical universe and an unmissable sound experience!
