Over recent years, the Notos Quartett has amazed both critics and music-lovers with its technical virtuosity and passionate performances – "some of the finest chamber music performances I have heard anywhere," according to Robert Markow of Classical Voice North America. They play two piano quartets: one by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and one by the British composer William Walton (1902–1983), who wrote in a wide variety of genres, from film music to opera.
