Bozarsundays

Five experienced musicians from the National Orchestra of Belgium present a varied programme, ranging from Mozart to Swerts. Mozart wrote his quintet for a friend, the horn virtuoso Ignaz Leitgeb, whose instrument dominates the work. The Mozart is followed by Langsamer Satz, a rare tonal work by Anton Webern, and a composition by Franz Anton Hoffmeister. The concert concludes with the premiere of a brand new work – a tribute to Franz Schubert – by the Belgian composer Piet Swerts.
