‘Nino Veličkovski & Kumanovski Tamburaši’

The playing of the tambura has its roots in the past of the Koumanovo region (Macedonia). The Kumanovski Tamburaši ensemble adapt the repertoire for tambura and the traditional music of Macedonia for orchestra, revisited with contemporary arrangements, to create songs that have met with great success.  With the singer Nino Veličkovski, they founded the   Koumanovo Festival of Music devoted to the tambura and are working to bring its music to the world.
