New Year Concert

The National Orchestra’s New Year’s Concert is a great opportunity to enjoy a few eternal classics. The young Italian conductor Gaetano d’Espinosa brings boundless energy to a programme with an operatic focus. And so he can count on the soprano Maria Pia Piscitelli.  We begin with a series of composers from the Golden Age of French opera (Gounod, Massenet, Charpentier). The second half of the concert is completely given over to Italian composers (Donizetti, Rossini, Bellini) and a couple of their most lyrical arias.
