Music for paradise
Singing is freedom for Jodie Devos, a sensibility we can appreciate in the final movement of Mahler’s Fourth Symphony, which describes life in paradise. Last year, she (and the NOB) shared a stage with the world-famous baritone Thomas Hampson. This concert also features the Latvian violinist Baiba Skride, who has won fame worldwide since winning the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2001.
