British actor Michael Caine has lent his voice to a documentary on the pop culture of the 1960s. Directed by David Batty, 'My Generation' immerses you in English icons from the Rolling Stones to the famous model Twiggy. With incredible archive footage, influential songs and interviews with 1960s icons such as Paul McCartney, David Bailey and David Hockney, Michael Caine takes us to the very heart of the 1960s London pop culture.

David Batty, born 1962, is an award-winning director best known for his Emmy-nominated ‘Cult of the Suicide Bomber’. Over the last 30 years he has directed more than 40 films tackling subjects from homeless runaways to the British Royal family, from the Kamikaze of Japan to the refuse collectors of Camden as well as a terrifying psychological portrait of Hitler. He began his professional career making observational films for U.K. broadcaster Channel 4’s award-winning ‘Cutting Edge’ cine-verite series and has filmed all over the world from Morocco to Kashmir, from Syria to Iran, from Israel to Lebanon, from India to Peru. He filmed more than 50 interviews for ‘My Generation’ as well as extensive sequences of the icon himself.
