What influence does classical music have on our society? And what is the role of a symphonic orchestra? You will be given a resounding answer to these questions during these special Musica Maestro. In the Centre for Fine Arts' Henry le Bœuf Great Hall the National Orchestra of Belgium plays extracts from famous and less well-known symphonic works. Dirk Brossé conducts and explains what is happening on stage. Live projections on a big screen focus on the instruments and musicians. Along with the conductor, the pupils go in search of the rhythm, the melody, the musical form and the timbre of the performed works.
