A concert for which only the best is good enough. Neither the performers nor the work need any introduction. John Eliot Gardiner is one of the world's greatest Bach experts and performers. For the Easter season, he and his choir bring us the St Matthew Passion, a timeless monument of Western musical history, which has moved countless listeners down the centuries – and will surely not leave you unmoved either.
This evenings performance of St Matthews Passion by Johan Sebastian Bach with the Monteverdi Choir & English Baroque Soloists, as part of the Klarafestival, will take place. The performance will be an homage to the victims of yesterday’s terrible attacks and a symbolic moment of solidarity. We invite you to watch the concert broadcast live.
