‘Minguet Quartett’

3 Nov.'17
- 20:00

At BOZAR, we like to make links between the musical seasons and establish long-term relationships with the artists we really believe in. This concert is a fine example of that ambition. The programme includes works by composer, clarinettist and conductor Jörg Widmann, who featured in a BOZAR "portrait" last season. Also "in portrait" this season, Thomas E. Bauer will be performing this cycle of lieder entitled Das heiße Herz, in the company of pianist Siegfried Mauser. The German singer’s warm baritone is a perfect match for his countryman's songs. Das heiße Herz, which is inspired, amongst others, by Klabund and Schumann's Dichterliebe. These works about love are the perfect accompaniment to Mahler's peaceful Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen, here performed by the Minguet Quartett in an arrangement for string quartet by Anne Reisinger.
