Mario Botta is an emblematic figure of post-modernism in architecture, whose work includes schools, banks, libraries and churches. In his 50-year career, Mario Botta has built internationally renowned projects such as the MOMA museum in San Francisco, the Resurrection cathedral in Evry and the Jean Tinguely museum in Basel. In 2019, in collaboration with Buro B, he designed the Labiomista building in Genk. Each of his buildings embodies meticulous architectural thinking. He designs unique spaces through the use of simple geometric forms, the choice of specific materials and the mastery of light. Mario Botta's lecture will provide a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in his world.
*Mario Botta's lecture will be available in French only.
The evening is not over yet! The ticket of this conference also gives you free access to the 'Nocturne Tàpies' at Bozar. An opportunity to visit the exhibition 'Antoni Tàpies. The practice of art' and rediscover the circuit of the antechambers through a multi-disciplinary programme.
