A+ Architecture in Belgium, in collaboration with Bozar, is pleased to welcome Chilean architect Cecilia Puga on February 20, 2024 for a lecture on her work.
Cecilia Puga, who has run her own practice in Santiago since 1995, puts her mark on contemporary architecture with an innovative approach. She builds projects on different scales, from individual houses to large-scale educational and industrial projects. Through her work she expresses a unique architectural vision that seeks harmonious integration into the context, combining elegance and originality, an inventive approach to the use of materials and the reinterpretation of traditional elements.
This conference presents an overview of Cecilia Puga's career, with notable realisations such as the cruise terminal in the Strait of Magellan, the Pereira Palace and the infrastructure for the Queulat National Park in Patagonia. A testament to her international reputation is the Chilean pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai, created in collaboration with Chilean architects Smiljan Radic and Paula Velasco.
