The joy of being alive and singing: this is what unites these two choirs. In 2015, it was the same taste for life which inspired a group of men from near Turnhout to create Animato. Today, the all-male choir has 28 members and is equally at home with classical, gospel and barbershop. “Joyful, spirited life”, this is the meaning of the A Lieta Vita ensemble founded in 1985 by Marijke Bonte. Its goal is simple: sharing its dynamic and cheerful repertoire with the public, and getting people to really enjoy life through choral singing.
