In the presence of the director

A lively chronicle of residents of the Béguinage quarter, so named because it is located on the site of the former Brussels beguinage. The film, conceived as an encyclopedic inventory, is composed of thirty chapters imbricated like pieces of a puzzle, or even like the many galleries of a termite hill. It takes place in the span and the interstices of one day, starting at dawn and ending at night.
